#6 learn Python (part 1)

One of my longtime goals has been to learn Python.

I work with data scientists every day at my job and while I understand many of the concepts about what we’re doing (running a regression or classifier model, for example, or creating a DataFrame from multiple joined sources, or tuning the hyperparameters of our models, you get the idea)… I have been unable to execute any of this myself. I haven’t needed to and as a result it’s one of those things that has been pushed down the to-do list again and again. But with this time off, and working with my brother on a data product project, now seemed like the perfect time.

I’m starting with completing some foundational courses using DataCamp, which contribute to a data scientist or machine learning scientist certification. Next up is an intro to deep learning with PyTorch.
