#9 USA: visiting family & friends

I feel incredibly fortunate to have lived in multiple countries. I also feel incredibly fortunate to live during the time of video calls and constant connectivity, but that doesn’t always make up for being physically away from family and friends. My family is spread out across the world and even within the US, so wherever I choose to live, there will always be someone I’m close to who isn’t there, and as a result I don’t get to see my family and American friends as much as I’d like to. This extended time off was the perfect opportunity to head across the pond to my ‘other’ home country for a longer trip.

I made stops in Washington DC, Chicago and Madison, Atlanta, Nashville, and Dallas, as well as taking trips to Seattle and New York and my cross-country train journey. I didn’t take too many photos as I was focused on catching up and appreciating home (as well as starting Spotty with my brother Eddie!).
